Brenda Mierzejewski spent over 16 years in big pharma as a materials manager handling importing and exporting for companies including Bayer Pharmaceutical and Amgen before founding Mizzi Cosmetics six years ago. She started formulating petroleum-free lip care in her kitchen after her infant son Brady's open heart surgery, and has grown Mizzi into a clean beauty brand with a 3,500 square foot production facility, roughly 50 SKUs and over 450 retailers.
