Kosmo was burned at 17 months old and spent much of his adolescence at the Shriners Burn Institute in Galveston, Texas before working factory jobs and starting a family. He began blending his own barbecue rubs after store-bought versions disappointed him, went on to win world championships, and has grown Kosmos Q past $50 million in total sales.
