And now they're talking about something called MR, mixed reality, which is a little bit of both. McDonald's wants to bring its restaurants into the metaverse. What? No way. I guess you go into the metaverse and make the order, and then it delivers to you at your door. I will say this.

00:21
The one thing about podcasting that is kind of hard to do is there's not really a community aspect for like direct feedback. The hardest part of ending is starting again.

00:38
You're listening to the Radcast. If it's radical, we cover it. Here's your host, Ryan Alford. Hey guys, what's up? Welcome to the latest edition of the Radcast. It's Friday, February 25th, 2022. Our weekly marketing and advertising news. I'm joined by my co-host, my buddy, my friend, my pal, Joe Hamric. Amigo. Me amigo. Wow. Oh, wow.

01:07
All your Spanish. That's all Spanish I know. Uh, biblioteca. Yeah. I know. Can you say La Boca?

01:14
I don't know. Shut your mouth. OK, fair enough. I don't really want you to do that now, otherwise this would be quite a lot of monologue. Little weird. Yeah. Nick could jump in, I'm sure. But yeah, he might. I took French in high school. Oh, father, food, say hey, hey, hey, hey. Oh, very good. That's not French. It's I don't know. It's clear in my throat. But I don't know what that was. That was excellent. Yes, it's called X-Name.

01:42
Pig Latin, a sure. Sure. You know, Pig Latin. Isn't that the guy that isn't a pro wrestler? I think so. Yeah. No, I do know him. Yeah. No, I don't know Pig Latin. Do you know? Not at all. How's the week been? It's good. Good. We were just talking about this earlier. Yes. Yes. So not a lot of excitement at my house. My son made his middle school soccer team. Oh, congratulations. He's excited about that. And

02:13
I'll let him know. Yeah. And promptly got sick and is now at home. Sick. So that's cool. That's no good. Yeah. It's not the vid, is it? No, no. He we did a little test on him. He's got a sore throat situation. All right. I've been staying away. Away. Yeah. So that's good. But yeah, that's great. How about you? Um.

02:33
It's been good, you know, coming back from vacation. Yep. Very tan. Um, little tan, a little golden. It was, you know, and then we had our biggest clients here like the day after I got back and so, which was great to have them, but it's been a little bit of like a whirlwind. Fire drill. And.

02:48
But it's been good. We had a great time. The kids had a good time. Highly recommend. Beaches Resort in Turks and Caicos. A little free pub for you there. Sponsorship? Sponsorship maybe. Call me. The, next trip free. The, so yeah, the kids had a blast. I mean, this place, huge. It felt like, I don't know, like seven resorts in one. Really? It really, they have like, it's hard to describe like.

03:15
They had these individual buildings that all have pools and check-ins. So it really is like, I don't know, like seven units in one, all on the beach. And they all have themes. Like there's a French place and Italian place and Mediterranean. And they all have their separate check-ins and stuff, but you share all the amenities as like 21 restaurants. I was going to say probably have their own individual restaurants. Yeah. And so you, there's 21 restaurants on site, a 45,000 square foot.

03:44
Waterpark. Geez. And it was like, the kids had a blast. It was like Disney World, like a water park that was like a miniature Disney World. And they're old enough to where you can kinda let them. Yeah, we let them go and we kinda hung out. Tell the old one to watch the youngest one. Yep, so yeah, it was a good time. And you know, just been grinding away on the week. Rise and grind, bro. Rise and grind. Do you venture off?

04:11
territory when you're there? No, if we'd have been there for like seven to ten days, we were there for four nights five days. There's so much to do on the resort and with the beach there too. The beach is beautiful there. White sand, blue water. It's like, you know...

04:29
And it's actually you can get in like some of those Caribbean islands, even Mexico can be kind of rough, seaweedy. It's beautiful. Yeah. But you don't, you get in much there. The water's pretty calm. You can get in sweet. Sounds very nice. I'll have to put it on your list and you can get there direct from Charlotte. So, uh, very easy. Two and a half hour flight.

04:49
Two and a half. Yeah, not bad. Not bad at all. Wow. I'm confused about where Turks and Caicos is, I think. Right below Bahamas. Okay. Well, if I can find it, I'll visit. Yeah, just take your private helicopter there. Take a left at Cuba, right? Yeah, it's right above Cuba, actually. Pretty close. Sure. So, yeah, it was good. I noticed your DAF point.

05:13
T-shirt. I don't know. Is that visible? Yeah, Daft Punk and and the Interestingly enough they had they made some news this week. Yeah, they released an old concert there They're broken up. Yeah as a group have been for a little bit Yeah, but they did release on twitch a concert from like 98. I want to say

05:34
It was like a while ago. It was like before they were even like the electronic, like metal helmets and stuff like that. So, yeah, they one time only release no replay, no nothing. So we missed it. We missed it. Fantastic. But I saw that I was like, all right. And then you walk in with a Daft Punk t-shirt that was not planned. Not clear. It was not. I've worn this shirt maybe twice in six months.

05:58
Yeah. And today was the day. I like Daft Punk, though. I do too. Hence the, you know. Yeah. That's the T-shirt. It's not double dare, though. It isn't double dare. It's much. This shirt is actually original. But could be about could be 15 years old. The shirt might be older than that. Might be older than that. Did I? I don't think I had the shirt in now. No, no, it's not college. Yeah. It's not that old. Been after college. Yeah, it wasn't. I don't think it was that far after college. I think so. I have a picture of my son sitting on my lap.

06:27
at maybe his first or second birthday, and I'm wearing this shirt. And he's almost 14, so. Hey, so you know, is at least that old. It's documentation. I've got the receipts. Yes, yes. It's been a good week. We had William Branham on the podcast on Tuesday that released former Navy's 26 years Navy SEAL. Geez. Serve 26 years. Ten nine or ten deployments.

06:52
Uh, talking about owing him a debt of gratitude, uh, and gravity, the gravity of the gratitude we, uh, that's very good. Yeah. You like spin it around my own, my own tripping over the word. That turned into a positive. Yeah. But William was awesome. He owns a company called naked warrior CBD products and does a lot in the area of CBD and therapies and different things for, um, uh,

07:20
former soldiers and stuff. Sure. And so, uh, really great guests doing a lot of great things and, you know, it was real transparent about what it takes to be a Navy SEAL, which is, uh, being a bad ass. Yeah. I can't, I can't imagine. He was just describing what you go through. And I asked him, I was like, how many people could actually do this? And he's like, uh, you know, probably actually Mike could make it maybe more than you think, but how many actually get through it? Not many. Yeah, no.

07:50
That's a pretty elite group. Yeah, I never I could never. I probably wouldn't last five minutes for being. Get in the pool and be like, that pool is cold. Yeah, much less like making you almost drowned. Yeah. And like unlock yourself under the water at 10 feet. Pass on that. Yeah. Stay on the ground. Stay on the firm surface here. Yeah. So he was great. Next week, pace Morby. He's the lead guy on triple digit flip. OK.

08:19
call him, I guess, the host or lead. Cool name. Reality, triple digit flip. He does some really unique ways for buying houses.

08:29
and, you know, showing how you can make money buying houses with no money down. And it's not just like that no money down guy from back in the little tiny newspaper ads. Remember that guy? Yeah. Newspaper ads and no money down. Little tiny ads. Remember that in infomercial? Yeah. I never thought it made any sense. Like, what are you doing? Yeah. Little ads. Well, he's not doing that. He's actually buying and selling houses and doing, showing you how to buy it with no money down, doing a foreclosure.

08:56
called Sub2 is what it's called, the type of financing he does. But really cool guy, pace was awesome. Very, like, probably the most thoughtful guess we've ever had. Like, just very easy, but like complimentary, and like he'd done his homework on the show. Really? Just, I don't know, just a really good guy. That seems, I'm gonna listen to that, cause I mean, if that's a good way to make a little bit of. It's.

09:23
A lot of good knowledge. I'll just say that. OK, so I will check it out. Check out Pace Morby next Tuesday on the Radcast Triple Digit Flip. Go watch it on A&E. OK, that's where the show is. That's fantastic. I will tell you not to speak, not to slow the show down, but I've been seeing a lot of your boy Spencer. Pratt.

09:42
He's like all of a sudden I've seen like four or five different things of him. He's getting out there. Yeah. And texting with him. They, um, he gave us a nice compliment. He's like the only thing like crushing it for our market right now is some, the emails we're doing from email flows. So, uh, but yeah, Spencer is out there. The him they've gotten, they're kind of blowing up on Tik TOK him and Heidi is they're blowing up on, on Tik TOK him and Heidi. We've gotten into a little groove and doing a lot of stuff. And then he's doing a couple of different, like

10:09
Online reality shows like so it's he's out there Yeah I saw there was an interview of him talking about something about the hills where he Some date that he went on that on the hills was fake or something like that I don't know everybody's name on the hills, but you know some girl How can we all we can all know all the things know everything? Yes, everything all at once geez Hallelujah, I try you try you do try

10:33
Well, I think we should get to it. Okay. It's time for another absurd holiday. There's no shortage of dumb things to celebrate. A Redcast social media holiday segment. Yeah. Dab. Let it play through. So social holidays this week. We've got one, two, three, four days. And.

10:56
quite a few big ones to get to. OK. Ones you can't miss. Important ones. They're always important, Joe. And these are the big ones. OK. Today, February 25th.

11:07
is national chocolate covered nuts day. You know, OK, that's a good one to start with. I guess your nuts covered in chocolate, cover them up in chocolate. Where do you have that done? I don't know. I was looking for that up before the show is like, where do you get your nuts covered? You look at that on your is that why HR was I was talking to you? Yeah. And I was looking for the, you know, like the coating chocolate. Sure. The stuff that turns hard.

11:36
Like you don't want just chocolate like melted. You want it to like, you want the, the magic shell. Yeah. That's what we wanted. Magic shell coating. Magic shell. Oh, you're nuts. You can't get the butterscotch. It's gotta be the chocolate. Yeah. But because chocolate covered nuts day. Yeah. Well, that's a, it's a great day. It is a great day. Are you yawning? Did you just yawning? Nick's already yawning. You so have a gun.

12:01
OK, we're boring him to death. Yeah, we are. Not to be outdone. It's national clam chowder. Why wouldn't it be? Clam chowder. Why wouldn't it be? Chowder. I like it. You like your chowder? Yeah. Chowder. Chowder. You like.

12:18
Do you like clam chowder? I love clam chowder. Oh. OK. All right. You like the traditional white clam chowder? What's the red, Manhattan? The red. Yeah, definitely going with the white. White. Yeah. Wasn't that on Seinfeld? Is it the white or the red? You never remember that. No, that was ancient Cher. Yeah, it's the white or the red. Yeah. It's the white. Never remember that. Yeah.

12:39
Yeah. It's also I have no idea what this is, but I'm going to say it because it's on my sure notes from the producer. Sure. National skip the straw. Skip the straw day. Is that like save saving the planet? Like, so you skip the straw? Like, don't give me a straw. I guess so. Maybe that's an easy thing to do, I guess. Or just give me a paper one that I hate. Yeah. Or get one of those metal ones so you can break a tooth on it.

13:06
Yeah, those are the worst. Those are the worst. See the paper ones that dissolve into your drink and like in your mouth while you're in it's like, oh, so they make straws out of I've, I've actually had a little experiences. They make them out of, uh, like pasta.

13:20
Like you can buy straws that are made out of like long tubes of pasta. OK. Which is quite weird. They've made a lot of advances. There's like hand ones. Oh, we're good. Yeah. Or CBD laced. Yeah. Or just be a big boy. Right. Just drink without it. Yeah. You know, how old do you get it? I mean, you can have a straw. Yeah, not really. Sometimes in restaurants, I'll use a straw just to depending on how clean the restaurant looks, if it looks like, you know, then pop a straw in there.

13:46
Just in case, you know? Papa straw. Pop it. Just papa straw. Papa straw. That's tomorrow on Papa Straw Day. Sounds like a rapper. Papa straw. Papa straw like Papa Smurf, sort of. Yeah. That's a great rapper. DJ Papa Straw. Oh, that sounds Italian kind of. Papa. DJ Papa Straw. Big Papa Straw. Keep going with this. Big Papi Straw.

14:07
All right. Big pop. David Ortiz. Yes. Straw line of straws. So there's your three days today. Chocolate covered nuts day. National clam chowder day and national skipped a straw day. Well, I'm going to get some magic. What's it called? Magic? The the chocolate covered nuts stuff. Magic shell. Magic shell. We just said it. Yeah. I was like, yes. Oh, yeah. All right. Magic show. OK. Maybe it's be magic show day. Grab that maybe on your lunch break or something.

14:35
Yeah. Thank you. Apply it. Apply it. Maybe not. You don't have to go that. We have to go that far tomorrow. Nick instantly was like, yes, that personal shift. Sure. Ah, celebrate the personal shifts. They don't get enough of recognition. I know my personal shift that I don't have. Yeah. Well, yeah, you know, there's someone at your house that cooks meals. More me than anyone. Is it really? No, we're probably equal. Yeah.

15:05
Like, yeah, actually, man, I'm probably like five to one. The other side, the coal works her ass off like she's doing stuff after school and everything like that. So I'm usually just picking up like.

15:17
to go or I'll throw something on the grill. It goes not really cooking, though. So I feel like, yeah, maybe overstated it. That I do it. I thought it was actually like I cooked it. Everybody picked it up. They let me in the kitchen at Applebee's and I cooked all this. Yeah, I cooked all of it. Picked Applebee's. It's also National Pistachio Day. Pistachio Day on Saturday. Pistachio. Pistachio. Why are you pronouncing it like that? All that fridge talk earlier. Pistachio. Pistachio.

15:46
Mmm. But that's y'all. I love pistachios. He's just, I guess. Could you put some chocolate on your pistachios? A great pistachio. That's still a nut in it. Is it a nut? Oh yeah. All right. Here we go. We join these things up Friday and Saturday. Yeah. We get a full weekend of chocolate nut covering. Um, yeah. It's also Saturday. National. Tell a fairy tale.

16:16
Day. Tell a fairy tale. OK, it's say that's every time fast to tell a fairy tale day. So you tell one you tell someone one that exists or you make one. Maybe make one. We should make you want to make one up of the rat cat. Sure. Starring Nick Weaver, Nick Weaver.

16:36
He got there once is a boy named Nick. Oh, he always called in sick. Oh, he ran around town With a clown and they'll it was time to frown. Yeah, I was gonna say then he got kicked in his dick Come back It would bring it back back, right? Yeah, I like it. He doesn't like that. Nick doesn't like the rhyme Because they you're getting kicked in the dick on that. Yes pass probably right. I have lost my keyboard nicky nick

17:04
Boy, I know maybe like now maybe you are it was like the perfect time for a you know, right? Yes. Well, I Can't want them all I guess right? No, you can't in a Sunday is international polar bear. Yeah Moving on how do you celebrate that? It's actually also national national Kaluwaday Okay, national give a polar bear some Kaluwaday. Yeah Kaluwa

17:31
So weird branded holiday. They paid for that, you think? Unless it's koala. No, he spoke. I think that's cool. Cool. Is it koala? It's kaluah. Look at that. Tell me. K-A-H-L-U-A is how you spell Kaluah. K-A-H-L-U-A. Kaluah day. I was like, I was sick again.

18:01
Oh Yes polar bear day I was imagining like koalas and polar bears fighting So while you're so celebrating the polar bears you get to have some Kaluha sure with your koalas But yeah Kalu a day

18:30
Sure. What do you mix Kahlua in? Coffee? Coffee, yeah. Isn't there an Irish whiskey? Like, is that the is that the drink? Yes. What's in a black Russian? Oh, I don't know. I know what a white Russian is. Right. Well, that's not Kahlua. That's Bailey's in it. Yeah, Bailey's. I had Bailey's and coffee is good. Bailey's coffee is good. I used to drink that at.

18:55
Pixie mills, oh, I'm gonna fix him bills. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. He's to drink all kinds of things Whoops oh Okay, so it's also national Pokemon Sunday the 27th That's a couple Brent. Do you think they paid for that Kahlua and Pokemon having to share the same day? They pay for it I mean, I think they just name it, you know, they just call it They say they say whatever like we say today's national radcast day like we should create a radcast. Why not?

19:23
You know, it needs to be on a Thursday. Yeah. Every third Thursday of the month. We can make it multiple times. Yeah. Why not? Who's to tell us that we can't one day of the month is Radcast day. Sure. It's also national protein day. Get your protein. Sure. Or is my, uh, young, my oldest son when he was young, he called it protein.

19:46
OK, I don't know why, but I don't know why either. That's hard calling that and let him call it that. My my son, you know, de jour knows the pizza. He used to call that Dignorino's and dig Dignorino's. Like we have frozen Dignorino. I'm just like, sure, buddy. Dirk Dignorino's. Yeah. Yeah, we're losing. Yes. Natural, natural. It's natural.

20:16
Do you have somebody else read those next? Yes, I think so. This is called shit. Like all with the my show notes here. What is it? What is it? The National National Retro Day. My shirt is retro. I'm a little bit ahead of the times. And lastly, weird. I mean, there's a lot of a lot of days on Sunday. Sure. National Strawberry Day. OK, so that's what seems like a bigger.

20:44
I mean, strawberries are pretty universal, so it seems. Yeah, the National Strawberry Council probably paid for that one. Yeah. Also, they but then now they're sharing it with Kalua's, Kahula and Pokemon. What Nick, what if it was what if it was neither? What if it wasn't Kalua or Koala? It was like, what's the there's an Hawaiian island with a K or something. Kauai. We're going to look at none of this is right. No, it's cool. I believe you.

21:12
I'm gonna have a look at it after this show. I believe you. I lost my ability to read. I don't think I can read right. My eyes are still like from laughing. So yes. It's Monday. Moving on. Sure.

21:29
A lot of desserts. I know you got souffle, strawberries, chocolate, covered nuts, pistachios, pistachios, kalua, clam chowder. Yeah. Clam chowder. It's also national floral design day on Monday, the 28th. Floral design day. Last day of the month, right? Or 29 days. Yeah. 29, no, 28 days in February. 29th is the leap year. Yep. Uh, it's national two-fairy day.

21:57
Okay, so if you have too much of the souffle, et cetera, we get the tooth fairy. Yeah, exactly. How much do kids get for tooth fairy now? Five or 10 bucks. I would say five probably, but it's been a while. We've had some, like, poor Nash had his tooth, like, had to get pulled and like shattered. He had like two hour experience in the dentist. He got a 20 spot. Yeah, that one's worth like a... Might have been worth more than that. Gift card or something. Yeah, yeah, get out a free, gel free card or something. I don't know. I think we used to get...

22:26
A dollar, a dollar, maybe. Yeah. Inflation. There we go. It's, and finally Monday, February 28th. Is that Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday? Yes. Monday the 28th is national public sleeping day.

22:49
Why? Is that homeless day? Yeah, I like sleeping in public. I don't know. When's the last time you slept in public? Maybe in a public school? Public sleeping day. Yeah, I don't know. Sleeping in public. Nick? Maybe at the airport. Oh, OK. Public sleeping day. That's a great. That's a good one. I'm not going to tell my kids about this. They'll be falling asleep at school. Even more than that. It's OK, dad. National public sleeping day. Oh, freaking kids.

23:17
There you have it.

23:32
Oh, that's quite the adventure. It's hard to get through that. Hardest I've laughed in months, probably. That was, uh, Kahlua, Kahlua, Kahlua. I think the reason I thought it was Koala was because polar bear, bear day was before it. Sure. So it had me second guessing the spelling. That's fair. Right. Honest mistake. Oh, yeah.

23:58
That was the funniest thing. Anyone could have done it. Anyone. I'm glad that happened. That was great. It was good. Good stuff. All right. Yeah, it was good. Now let's get to the important things. Right. Trends in the metaverse.

24:17
Such a crisp, clear. Yeah, it's good. Like I was playing the piano. It is. Yeah, that's a synthesizer. Okay, those are some pianos. Don't sound like that. Yeah. Synthesizer would. What's the thing? Theremin, you know what that is? No. You know what theremin is?

24:36
Make that sound. Read my lips. Sure. No. Saw that one coming. Nick does what it is. So our trends in the metaverse, we've got several, we got to get to these. Okay. Yeah. Pick up the pace here. Sure. So there is obviously a lot happening in the metaverse. Facebook's talking a lot about it and they've got something come out. Cause you've got AR, you've got reality, which is

25:02
the world we live in sometimes. Regularly, yeah. You've got VR virtual reality. Sure. And now they're talking about something called MR. Mixed reality, which is a little bit of both. Okay. So technology that can allow a person wearing an MR headset to use a real-world object to trigger a virtual, virtual world reaction.

25:28
Like hitting a video game character with a real world baseball pad. Jesus. Is one of three types of extended reality technologies often associated with the metaverse. Augmented reality exists with mobile games like Pokemon go, but players cannot affect the digital world with a physical object. That's true. So virtual reality headsets like Oculus.

25:54
immerse users into a fully digital world where they can interact with the environment. So Facebook is working on these mixed realities where again, you're in the VR world but you can use physical objects that have interaction in it. So you've got the VR headset on. Let's say you've got a hammer right next to you. Sure. You gotta be careful what you're hitting in the real world with your goggles on. Sure. But in theory, that action, I guess it's tied to your motion and everything else.

26:21
And so here's my question. Would it be any like any hammer or is it a special hammer that you have to buy? And it's a whole thing. More details coming. Sure. Not in the show notes, but it sounds like it's, it's being developed. These mixed realities. Sure. Uh, thank God. Yeah. We can't get the real world right. And somehow we're trying to create this mixed reality. Maybe that's, maybe that's the great hope escape escape is that we.

26:48
You know, screwed up the real world so much. We get in this mixed reality. Maybe that's where, I don't know, peace lies. Wow, that's deep. Was that deep? That was a deep concept. Deep thoughts in the metaverse. That may be a new little sound. Deep thoughts in the metaverse. Deep thoughts, so we'll let you stew on that one. McDonald's wants to bring its restaurants into the metaverse. What? No way.

27:15
McDonald's looks to be the latest brand to tap into growing interest in the metaverse. They have joined, they have filed trademarks for an entirely virtual metaverse restaurant that delivers your food IRL in real life. In real life. Well, I don't understand what that means. So I guess you go into the metaverse and make the order. Sure. And then it delivers to you at your door. For real.

27:42
Sure. That sounds like mixed reality. I've overheard it. Yeah. Right. So, uh, McDonald's has plans for both a virtual and real world dining experience that doesn't even require you hopping off your game to order. You are hanging out in the metaverse and you get hungry. You don't have to put down your headset. You walk into a McDonald's and place an order. It re it arrives at your door a little while later, a little while later.

28:07
Yep. That's very interesting. That's going to seem like real fast food, which is typically pretty slow. Yep. Yep. Sure. You know, some, some faster than others, but yeah, you're absolutely right. Yeah. That's man, that's how the hell does that work? Well, I mean, you it's, it's all tied to the internet. It's so different than ordering on your app. I know it's the internet. Right. I mean, but you know, I'm saying like, what's the difference between getting your Uber Eats app out? So you're in the metaverse and you order it's all connected.

28:34
So it's like ordering on the app, but you're in a McDonald's in the metaverse. So internet. Yeah. Okay. Well, I guess my question would be like, why not just go ahead and order it bite squad or whatever, or Uber eats. Cause you don't want to leave the metaverse. I wonder if Uber eats has metaverse plans. Probably. Cause then any restaurant is a virtual restaurant, Nick. Yep. That's right. Hey, then Uber eats could set up a food court.

29:03
And in theory, you can order off the food court menu and have anything delivered. Huge, a huge food court. Huge food court. Never ending. Every restaurant they have. Wow. Hey, the times we live in, man. Yeah. This is when you don't want to leave the metaverse. You want to stay in the metaverse, like doing all that meta stuff you're doing. So you could have even have mixed reality to where you're eating your cheeseburger and you can see the cheeseburger, but you're really eating it. Exactly. Right. Wow. Yeah. It's coming.

29:33
It's coming. Jesus. Um, yeah, it means you can interact with others and even buy in real life IRLs now in real life. Ooh. Yeah. That's what all the, all the hipsters say. Yep. Yeah. Uh, like a big Mac without logging off. Yeah. Sure. I'll make it log on as well. You're going to log on later. Yeah.

30:01
That Big Mac. The Wrangler is celebrating 75 years in business with a Mr. Wrangler campaign that centers on the metaverse and a partnership with musician Leon Bridges. Don't know who that is. Good soul singer. Okay. Who helped conceptualize and choreograph the effort. The denim maker marketed walks.

30:21
Well, auction 75 animated icon tier non-fungible tokens. This week through the platform, each captures one of bridges, dance moves and opens access to online communities. You will have access to Decentraland and a VIP pass to an invite only performance with the Grammy winner that will be at New York Fashion Week in September. Sure. So you've got the physical and the digital. You got the.

30:49
a the digital asset of the dance and then you get the physical access to the concert. Sure. Wrangler is a to me an older brand, right? Yeah, they're trying to get hip more hip. Do people wear Wranglers? Yeah, they do cowboys and stuff. I know Nick, they were they weren't heart juniors a big Wrangler fan. Brett Farr maybe? Yeah, I think he is. Is that Haynes or something or both? I don't know. Yeah, they're trying to.

31:16
Revitalize the brand here make it a little more trendy and I think it is getting a little trendier. Yeah, I Feel like I had some Wranglers when I was a kid, maybe Yeah, you did, but I've never I had a bunch of Levi's Surely well everyone had I think I'm maybe wearing Levi's right now. I'm not I'm not a percent positive I think they're really wasn't that a campaign. I think they're Levi's it should have been. Yeah, I mean you tell me you're the Right. Yeah, Levi's. Yeah

31:45
Um.

31:47
Yeah, speaking of wearables, my hat that I'm wearing today, if you're watching, is made by a company called Branded Bills, I mentioned this a few weeks back, we finalized terms for a sponsorship agreement. So we wanna welcome the Branded Bills family to the Radcast family. Radcast family, sure. They will be sponsoring our apparel, they will be the official apparel company of the Radcast. Nice, so we're gonna be wearing Radcast gear. Yeah, like we're gonna be all suited up,

32:17
I like it. This could be a gigantic Radcast logo. A onesie? Yeah, onesie. Yeah. So welcome, Branded Bills. And if you want to go check them out, Google Branded Bills, brandedbills.com. They have badass hats, hoodies, t-shirts, beanies, really cool stuff. Underpants? I don't know, maybe that's on their future.

32:43
items that may be released. Metaverse. They might be in the metaverse. Yeah. So branded bills, be able to look out for them and all our cool shit we'll be wearing. So moving away and moving out of trends in the metaverse.

33:04
Hard cut. Oh, moving on to our more important news. Condé Nast has inked a deal with TikTok to monetize exclusive content for Vogue and GQ that will be made exclusively on TikTok. Huh? Yeah. So Vogue and GQ contact content, um, on TikTok.

33:34
Okay. The deal includes a variety of content formats, mostly around fashion month, as well as style and shopping such as live streams, hashtag challenges and short form video series produced by Conde Nast editorial teams. Excellent.

33:49
More details to come. As always, as always. Yes. What exactly the publisher and platform will be pitching advertisers is still in the early stages. Sure it is. So they come to us from Jijidayjijiday.com. So they don't know. So yeah, they don't know. They haven't come up with it yet. We know that TikTok is popular and we're going to do something with them. That's the news. Yeah. So. TikTok is very popular. They, it is popular. Yeah.

34:15
It's been popular for you the teens. I it's been very popular for me recently. Have you um had any other releases here? No, the problem is here's the problem is Joey edits them and he's obviously quite busy right now. Yeah so I've been kind of on him to we have a The one that blew up is the dad one where me and my son playing video games or whatever there's like still two or three of those that

34:39
came out of that day we filmed that haven't been released. So I'm hoping one of those blows up again. Yeah. Well, we need up and coming to get finished. So, well, but my personal brand is important. Up and coming dot series on Instagram. You go, go follow us there. Yes. Pulling, pulling Joey back by his arm, like dragging around. I think he's around here somewhere. We can, he has around here somewhere. You have that upcoming series, uh, Instagram pages looking, yeah, looking pretty good to, uh, build, build some momentum. Yep. Behind the scenes stuff.

35:09
And some of the latest articles, we're hoping to get another feature with WYFF locally wants to do a feature. I will tell you they probably won't let them on live because we were on live the live news one time and I don't know if you remember how that turned out. They weren't thrilled about that. That was WSPA though. Yeah, okay. We're okay. Maybe if WYFF can watch that. WYFF, yeah. They're next. That'll be good. So Netflix is bringing its short form video feed.

35:39
I wasn't, I was not aware of Fast Last Me either. To the TV, they're bringing short form video feature to the big screen that launched a year ago. TikTok inspired feed of funny videos had previously only been available on mobile devices. It serves as a way for to introduce Netflix users to new shows, movies and comedy specials that they may want to watch.

36:05
So I guess it was just kind of more a vertical video format. Sure. I think they're going to reposition it for the television. I think I've seen that on the...

36:14
on the mobile app. You have fast laughs. It's like there's an emoji for it. I think like a laughing emoji or whatever they use for it. I think. You think? I'll have to look it up. Yeah. Are you big Netflix? You Netflix? I do. I watch, there's a couple of things I watched pretty religiously over and over and trailer park boys is one of them. And that's on Netflix. So I have to have Netflix. You don't watch any of their other series? Oh no, I do. Ozark. Have you caught up on it? I am caught up. Are you? Oh no. Oh boy. I haven't watched season four yet.

36:44
Oh my God. Yeah. This, this second half of season four is coming out, I think April 23rd or something like that. Yep. Sponsor us. Yeah. By the time I catch up on it, I might be able to watch both of them together. Cause I haven't even started the first half. Yeah. It would that, that actually would be great because now I'm like, yeah. Oh boy. Don't tell me. Nope. Don't tell me. Spoiler. The, um, you watch Peaky blinders.

37:09
Have yep, I do not religiously do you said you love I just started the second season. Yeah, it's good enjoying it Sure, I'd fall asleep watching it last night But it was not really a reflection of the show and it happens more reflection of me being tired sure Moving on mm-hmm. Yeah, you get to this stuff. Okay get ready for nitrogen infused nitro Pepsi

37:33
I read about that. Pepsi has unveiled Nitro Pepsi. Softer soft drink or something they said, right? A new nitrogen infused product aiming to help the brand remain fresh with an ever shifting youth culture. Smoother tasting alternative, less carbonation. Softer soft drink I think I saw. Yeah. So it's just going to be lots of sugar. It's going to be a flat Pepsi, which is we all know is delicious. Yeah. So good. I know. We know how much we love Pepsi around here. Yeah. Especially Pepsi.

38:00
Yeah, I forgot about that. That's there on our no fly lists. No. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Don't want to do us. So, yes, a lookout for Nitro Pepsi. I came to us from the drum, the drum dot com. LinkedIn is partnering with Verizon to enter the podcasting arena. Of course they are. Video may have killed the radio star, but in recent years, audio based entertainment is making a comeback. Is that right? Yeah, I like that. Is that true? I like that headline.

38:29
But today, LinkedIn has announced that it's getting in on the podcast Gold Rush. Yeah. Right here at Radcast. That's the Gold Rush. Gold Rush. By launching the LinkedIn podcast network. News of the launch arrives during the moment of steep growth for LinkedIn and the podcast industry. Yes, it has. An advertiser supported pilot program created in partnership with Verizon aims to transform podcasting into a more community oriented industry. Hmm.

38:57
So we might have to get the Radcast on there. I was going to say, it'd be perfect for that, right? Yep. LinkedIn hopes to make it easier for listeners to engage with creators and vice versa. I will say this. Vice versa. Versa. Vistascio. My French, Vistascio versa. Very good. Ding. So I will say this. The one thing about podcasting that

39:25
is kind of hard to do is, you know, we have our data, we know people are listening. We have our website where people could certainly send stuff and we get DMs on our social channels. But there's not really a community aspect for like direct feedback, like of episodes and like a forum, so to speak. Forums for them. And so...

39:51
If they could bring that to life where the community and the engagement between creators, which we are, and the audience could be pretty interesting. I don't know how that will come to life exactly, but I do think there is a lot of white space for that. Yeah. And I love interacting with on live or whatever. I love that stuff. And I think that's probably the next phase for us is figuring out, and we're working through it, the live, doing this as a live show. Yeah.

40:19
maybe fielding questions, those sort of things. Sure. We did it. I mean, we did sort of do it. Yeah. Right? Yeah. I mean, sort of. Sort of. Keyword being sort of. Yeah. Yeah, sort of. We'll get it back. We'll get back to it. But yeah, so we'll see where LinkedIn goes with their Verizon partnership. Don't know why Verizon partnership. I don't know if it's just 5G, LTE thing. I don't know what the hell the Verizon part is. Yeah. If it's just a sponsorship. But...

40:49
They're doing it together. Well, we'll see. Yep. I'm excited about it. That's our news for this week, my friend. Nice. That was the key marketing and advertising. Advertising? I kind of like advertising. I do like that. That might be a good new term. Yeah. I think I drank too many energy drinks this morning or something. I'm stumbling on my words. These things hit hard. Yeah, they do. Any final thoughts from you, my friend?

41:18
Gosh. Peace be with you. Beam me up Scotty. Okay, fair enough. I'm excited about the pilot coming out. I wanna hear more about this WIFF thing. We'll have to take that off the air. Yeah, I know. See what that looks like. Yeah, it's exciting stuff. I know, so go follow us at up and coming.

41:42
Dot series for all the latest info on the pilot that we're filming already filmed as you'd say now editing editing. Yeah Might take a couple years 2024 yes Oh boy, we'll see where it happens and thanks to braided bills We'll see you and hear a lot more about them as we come In the coming weeks, so we will see where that goes. We'll have all kinds of apparel might do some giveaways even I like that. Yeah. Yeah
